Spild af min og kollegaers tid

Jeg så idag et indlæg der handlede om det at spilde min og andres tid, og det fik mig i den grad til at tænke på emnet – at spilde min og ikke mindst mine kollegaers tid. For hvad vil det egentligt sige?

Der er rigtigt mange ting, som der spilder både min og ikke mindst mine kollegaers tid. Her tænker jeg naturligvis ikke på tiden ved kaffemaskinen eller i kantinen til frokosten, for de ting er netop givet meget vigtigt ud i forhold til både arbejdsforhold, arbejdsglæde og ikke mindst faglig sparring. Nej der hvor der er meget spildtid på danske arbejdspladser for tiden er indenfor konceptet mødekultur som jeg vil snakke lidt om i denne artikel.

Så kom dog til tiden

Når der står kl. 10:30 på mødeindkaldelsen så er det kl. 10:30 og IKKE kl. 10:35 eller kl. 10:45 – du spilder faktisk andres tid ved at komme for sent. Der er en hel gruppe mennesker, der sidder og venter på dig til det møde. Så vær så venlig at dukke op til den aftalte tid – og kan du ikke nå det fordi der er en legal undskyldning Så ringer du til mødeleder og aftaler tidsrammen for hvornår du kan forvente at være til stede.

Som mødeleder har du en vis form for magt!

Hvis det er dig der er mødeleder så har du magten til at styre mødet. Det er faktisk en del af det at være mødeleder. Det vil sige, hvis ikke folk kommer til tiden så kan du med rette låse døren. Ja jeg ved det er ren folkeskoleagtigt – men på den anden side.

Det virker! Jeg prøvede det selv på et teambuildingskursus jeg var på her for noget tid siden hos qua.dk. Her låste de døren ca. 1 sekund efter kl. var 9 og de der ikke kom til tiden de måtte vente til første pause med at komme ind.

Jeg kan garantere dig for at på de resterende 4 dage af det kursus kom INGEN for sent igen. Så kære mødeleder – læs op på hvad dit ansvar er og så kom ind i kampen og vær leder af mødet! Dine kollegaer har brug for det!

Agenda er faktisk ikke blevet forbudt endnu!

Sidst men bestemt ikke mindst, så er agendaen jo heller ikke blevet forbudt ved lov. Det er heller ikke blevet forbudt at lave en agenda der holder i forhold til tidsplanen, og det er da slet ikke forbudt at lave en agenda der kun vedrører de mennesker der er indkaldt til mødet og vedrører dem allesammen.

Det er rigtigt meget spild af tid at sidde til møde og skal igennem punkter på dagsordenden som ikke vedrører halvdelen af selskabet. Det er ganske enkelt helt uacceptabelt. Så køre mødeleder, få styr på din dagsorden. Når du så er igang med mødet, så husk – kære mødeleder – det er dig der har magten.

Det vil sige brug et system til at holde styr på mødet, og deltagerne. Lad ikke folk køre af med dig, og styre dig. Det værktøj du kan overveje at kigge på hedder Roberts Rules of Orders. Det er faktisk ganske genialt system og meget brugbart – både i små og store forsamlinger.
